The Bunny meets the Paladin

I've been best friends with The Bunny for ages. One of my oldest friends. We've had loads of ups and quite a number of downs as well ... and we've grown older and definitely more wiser.

So it was a nice surprise when she texted me regarding the business listed on this page under nails etc etc ... and we caught up after that over the phone. She's an AVID, and I mean AVID gamer and she's like a sponge the way she learns. I still remember schooling her in Starcraft ... and in 3 weeks, she out-manned, out-manuevered and out-lasted me. LOL. Not that I was / am a fantastic gamer to begin with. I'm happy just playing a game. She goes ... like ... deeper than deep. She DOTA'ed the DOTA out of DOTA and still kicked ass. And to my surprise, The Bunny is now into World of Warcraft ... Holy Moses!

Unfortunately ... it was the Alliance meeting the Horde. She's a Night Elf Resto Druid and I'm a Blood Elf Holy Paladdin. Sigh. So it's start all over for me with a new characther to be able to be on the same team as she is. And if I'm right ... she's gonna school me all over again. LOL. Looking forward to it!

i'm a fanboi ...

So there was that hoopla last week about the 'leaked' and 'unfinished' version of the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Well, the folks over at Fox got the FBI and the MPAA involved and all that ... and released a statement praising fanboys all around the world who 'condemned to the highest degree' the perps who released etc and Fox is happy that loyal legions of fans are boycotting watching the 'leaked version'.

Well. Being the X-Men fan that I am (although I started collecting them a little later in life), I was astounded that my local uncle had supply of the 'leaked' version. *sigh* what's a fan to do? I caught sneak peeks at it at his place ... and I have decided to WAIT for it to premiere in cinemas locally. And this is ONE show that I will be watching in the Gold Class theaters. ;) Because GAMBIT is amazing. I've always loved Gambit in the comics and was very disappointed when he did not make an appearance in the earlier installments. But better late than never, I say and I am certain that I'm going to be happy! :)

Oh yeah ... and old annoying Wade "Deadpool" makes an appearance as does Agent Zero. ;) *yay*!

wedding bells and diamond rings ...

to a wonderful couple who seem to be each other's best friend ...

your love shines for each other like a beacon on the bay,
you smile the smile of the heavens when you see each other,
you get each other's jokes and always laugh (even when it isn't that funny),
and most importantly ... you care and understand each other.

i wish you all the happiness, joy, peace and love in the world.

I saw you again.

Well, the back of you at any rate.

I called out your name, but the clamoring and increasing crescendo of the world around us drowned out my cries.

You once again passed out of my life and into your world again.

I missed you again.

... going for a holiday?

Passports in hand, my well-traveled Indonesian friend/principal and I made our way through the mass of bodies, through hordes of hot, sweaty hard, firm bodies.

*ahem*

We finally got to "Departure Lounge", at least that's what the sign said. Extracting ourselves from the mass of humanoids, we found ourselves in the peaceful, almost tranquil setting of this laid-back, tastefully done up cafe.

With relatively few tables, expect some form of serenity in here. Tastefully decorated and with smiling, friendly service, we had a marvelous time here. And the menu? It was pretty interesting actually. You go up to the counter where the smiley husband / wife (I think) are, and fill up the little order cards. We were pretty famished from being in the mosh pit, so we proceeded to order "9 Things" on the menu. It was ... sufficient. :)

If you wanna chill with just some illy java, put up your feet by the faux fire and grab a travel book and feel like you really are at a departure lounge. (It reminds me a little of the St. Louis / Minneapolis airport actually). It felt ... peaceful and nice? Yeah.

Loved it here. Breakfast food all day long. I will be back.

... not quite ...

So.

Right.

*blushes*

Yes, the deed's been done. It was magical, fulfilling and everything you see on TV.

I had my first official illy coffee. And yes, it was GOOD. ;)

Now get your mind out of the gutter! ;)
